Baby Robin into the White Space

Size: 36"x28"

Made of acrylic paint and artificial feathers on canvas. It was inspired by a baby Robin that fell from its nest during a spring hail storm. Branches were down, daffodils and tulips were shred; the mother stationed herself on a nearby bush and watched me trying to save her baby. Nature is both beautiful and cruel.

This painting would look lovely on any color wall. I used an usual process to create the design, pinning feathers on the canvas and painting to selected music.

The storm came across the prairie pushing wind and hail that crushed every spring daffodil and downed budding branches. The mother robin called to her baby and watched from the telephone wire as I attempted the rescue.

Made of acrylic paint and artificial feathers on canvas. This piece looks best in a large size. I used an unusual process to create this piece, first pinning the feathers on the canvas and then painting the colors while listening to a selection of music.
